Michael Tratt, CFP, MBA, FCPA

Director and Principal

Michael is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) of Australia, and a chartered company secretary. He completed an MBA at the University of Melbourne.

After working as a management consultant at Pacific Dunlop Ltd., and at Deloittes (Chartered Accountants), Michael commenced in financial planning in 1986 running the Melbourne office of Godfrey Weston Limited.

In 1988, Michael established Australian Private Capital which has been operating under its own Dealers Licence since 1989.

Michael held the position of Chairman of the Financial Planning Division for Australia’s largest Credit Union, “Australia National” for 8 years. Michael was also the Director of Financial Planning for 3 years for one of Australia’s largest Industry Superannuation Funds.

Michael is a “Principal Member” of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
